A little later than I wanted to get it posted but it's finally finished and here. The Cover for The After Death Book TWO! 12 inches by 12 inches illustration, pen and ink and color pencil on Strathmore color pencil paper. I have NO idea how long I worked on it because I just whittled away at it little by little over the past few weeks when I had the confidence NOT to screw it up-which were rare moments. I worked on it some at home and some at work and finally scanned it yesterday--which was a battle on its own.
My scanner isn't big enough to scan this entire image (it's 12x12) so I scan it in chunks and then piece it together using Photoshop. I scanned it at 600 dpi (sorry I might get a little inside baseball with this one) and I think my computer was having a real hard time handling 4 separate images at 600 dpi on the screen at one time. My scanner began acting up and just freezing every time I tried just to save the scanned image on my computer. I'm telling you, I fought with this sucker for like 3 hours yesterday on and off. I'd scan the illustration, hit save and then walk away letting the computer "think." Only to eventually return to see it stuck on the same screen I left it at. So frustrating!
